(i) The Charm of Reading
The Exhibition themed with reading tells stories about photo series of the young and the old, the rich and the poor across the world, all snapped by photographer Gu Xiaoguang along his traveling of some 27 countries and regions within 10 years. Through his lens, here shows their presence of reading, with cultural explanations for each.

(ii)“Rainbow • Dream”Tour Exhibition for Rural Kids Paintings 2019 (Guangzhou)
It covers paintings drawn by rural kids initiated by Guangdong Maitian Education Foundation, a NGO, in its program called “Rainbow Pocket”, with a view to depict their life and dreams, present their potentials and possibilities and arouse more attention to them among the public.

(iii)The Flame of the May Fourth Movement— Photo Exhibition of the 100th Anniversary
The movement was directed toward national independence against imperialism and feudalism, also ideological and cultural emancipation. It still remains innerspring for modern Chinese especially intelligentsia. On the occasion the 100th Anniversary, the Exhibition will take us back to the historic days with photos and thoughts when our ancestors devoted their lives to promote social progresses, achieve glorious goals and rebuild national confidence.

(v) Photo Exhibition for the 14th Wenjin Book Award
The Wenjin Book Award, first initiated by the National Library of China in 2014, with annual national wide participation of public libraries. The annual awards this year announced on World Book Day 2019 are meant to build a exchange bridge among readers, writers and publishers with photos and notes of all awarded books.

(ii) English Corner
English Corner acts as a stage for practicing oral English and exchanging views in English, regularly organized on Sunday afternoons except statutory national holidays. Participants are encouraged to express their ideas on various topics, usually with one topic for one session. This Corner, with one group for adults and the other for kids, has been greatly welcomed for its role in helping participants improve their English proficiency.

German Corner is regularly organized on the last Sunday of each month except statutory national holidays. Sessions of this Corner are often joined by volunteers and those interested in German culture, covering rich topics and forms.
