The Library Presented “Years of Ink Mark—Peng Xiaopeng Recent Artwork Exhibition”

On March 6, the Exhibition attracted over 200 guests and visitors present, among them including General Huang Bin, former Director of Teaching and Research Department, National Defense University, also highly reputed calligrapher, and Mr. Qiu Shikun, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Calligraphers Association, covering more than 80 pieces of recent artwork created by him.

The author, with several titles in the circle, through his refined works, shows an air of heroic spirit as well as quaint and attractive style. His artwork and reviews caught the public’s eye frequently on major magazines and newspapers of calligraphy.

Deputy Director Ni Junming, expressed thanks and praise to Mr. Peng, and reminded that Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province has always long been a decent platform and bridge for artists, especially local ones, thus, promoting popularity of paintings and calligraphies among youngsters. In return, Mr. Peng donated his long calligraphy roll of Su Dongpo First Visit to the Red Cliff; as the Library permanent collection, plus other 21 publications and 18 photocopies authored by him.
