During the Spring Festival 2019, the Library operates as usual, offering rich and attractive cultural services
At the main library, a big event named “Spring Blesses Guangdong—Guangdong Spring Couplets Exhibition”, brought together some 150 traditional Chinese spring couplets and some other fine makings of “Ethic Spring Couplets 2019”, attracting over 4000 visitors. At Wende Branch (Children’s Department), an exhibition called “Yearly Big Days—Guangzhou Spring Festival Customs”, gathered exquisite handmade cartoon picture rolls about Guanghou, quite catering to kids’ desire for knowing the city’s local customs and practices.
Besides, several other exhibition tours of various themes across the province schemed and organized by the Library, also opened to locals at City and County level libraries and Guangdong Mobile Libraries during the Festival, altogether drawing attention of tens of thousands of people.
