On May 21, an event, Lighting up Hope and Setting Sail—Guangdong Pupils’ Talent Show and Books Donation for the Needed Peers was co-hosted at Zhonghangcheng Garden, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, by Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Book Exchange and Donation Center, joined by Real Estate Channel of Guangdong Radio and Television Station, and Guangzhou AVIC Legend Co., Ltd, with the aim of promoting reading in underprivileged areas for pupils to enjoy the delight of reading. Li Wenhong, deputy head of Department of Chinese Books, and Zhang Guoxin, key librarian, attended the event, and many with children were present.
