The maxim of the Library goes that while a deep well is good for self-cultivation, those who fetch water from the well can benefit others. Our understanding of this maxim is that a library is a social tool that should be used for the public rather than for self interests. It is our duty to carry on the accumulation of human civilization and knowledge of the past scholars and to dig deeper of the knowledge well so that the whole society, scholars and later generations can benefit.
